Trump Blames Governor for Water System Hacks Despite FBI Warning of Iranian Cyberattacks

The FBI, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have not officially attributed a series of cyberattacks on Minnesota's water systems to Iran, but experts widely believe Tehran is behind them. Despite this, former President Donald Trump has publicly dismissed the Iranian theory, telling reporters, "I don't think there was an Iranian cyberattack," and instead blaming Governor Tim Walz. Trump's remarks come after the FBI warned that such attacks on American infrastructure are spreading to other states. In Minnesota alone, at least 30 community water systems have been targeted, raising concerns about the security of critical utilities nationwide.
