Elon Musk's ambitious project to create an AI-powered encyclopedia, Grokipedia, appears to have stalled. According to a report from Lawfare, the platform has not seen any updates since April 24, meaning no entries have been modified in over three months.
Grokipedia, developed by Musk's xAI, was launched in October 2025 as version 0.1 with an initial batch of 885,000 articles. It has since grown to over 6 million articles, with version 0.2 released in November 2025. However, the live page on grokipedia.com/live, which tracks recent changes, currently shows a message indicating no live edits are available.
Musk had previously touted Grokipedia as a "massive improvement" over Wikipedia, but the lack of updates suggests the project may be facing challenges. The Verge has reached out to xAI for comment but has not yet received a response.
